Ralph Lake - PictureRalph Lake has been in boxing since 1936 as an amateur and a professional. He represented the East Side A.C. at a 126 lbs. Boxing in all local tournaments and special bouts. Turning Professional in 1939. Boxing in that area such men as Mark Umils, Mickey Logan, Buck Streeter, Matt Parker, Terry Young, Joey Angelo, Baby “Kid” Chocolate and Puggy Synder. He went into the U.S. Navy in 1942 and spent 4 years. He boxed in numerous service bouts with ex.lightweight Champion Lew Jenkins. He came home in 1946 and had a few bouts, then started to train fighters and doing all around corner work for fighters. He worked with several Champions Willie Pep, Rocky Giaziano, Bob Foster and Harold Johnson. He has been a long time supporter of the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame. As well as two time Past President of the National Veteran Boxers Association. He also has been a long time member of many Veterans Boxing Association Rings. He feels greatly Honored to be inducted with so many great Inductees into the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame.
