Born on October 14, 1912, started a career that ran from 1931 to 1941. In that time he took part in 82 bouts, losing a dozen decisions and was stopped 3 times by such as AIda Spoldi, Willie Joyce and Allie Rowan. Maxie died on May 16, 1973.
Fisher was one of many fighters who came out of Newark’s third ward in the 1930’s. Fisher is a member of the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame.
